Boston Teacher Residency (BTR) recruits highly talented, diverse people who are committed to becoming urban teachers and provides them with a year of intense preparation based in the classroom. BTR has prepared over 400 new teachers for Boston schools and is leading the way nationally in improving how teachers are educated.

Dudley Street Neighborhood Charter School

BPE is partnering with the Dudley Street Neighborhood Initiative to open an innovative new school in September 2012. The grades preK-5 school will offer Boston children a world-class education and a full suite of services right in the Dudley neighborhood. This will be BPE's first "teaching hospital" school.
